Plot summary
Klaus Muller, a German captain, and his brother Anton fight Russian forces on the Eastern front alongside their friends. Wounded in that campaign, Klaus is pulled out and sent to France in 1944, just before the Allied invasion arrives. In Normandy he is reunited with old friends who have troubles of their own, and a suspicious Gestapo agent has a personal interest in removing him. American paratroopers Lee and Trey, meanwhile, prepare with their unit for the invasion jumps and landings planned for D-Day. Klaus is set to work on the Atlantic Wall defenses while trying to save his friends.
