Plot summary
After a disastrous test of its video game, Clayton Software dismisses the development team and brings in three specialists: weapons expert Hardcore, artificial intelligence designer Sol and sound creator Bug. The game they are building is called EVILUTION. Chief executive Faye Clayton offers a million dollars to whichever of them delivers the scariest game, and the three compete. Three weeks on, intern Laura Wheeler joins them to try out the game and the motion capture suit wired into the company network. Lightning strikes the building, the power fails and the data is erased. Someone must stay overnight to watch the backup, so the group lets the game pick who remains behind.
