Plot summary
Hotel Transylvania is marking its 125th anniversary, and Dracula intends to step back and hand the hotel to Mavis and Johnny. Johnny describes the renovations he has in mind, so Dracula claims a monster real-estate law keeps the property in monster hands. Van Helsing offers Johnny the use of a ray powered by a crystal that swaps human and monster forms. It turns Johnny into a dragon; when Dracula tries to undo the change he becomes human himself, and the crystal shatters. Van Helsing says a fresh crystal sits in a South American cave, the Cave of the Reflexión, and Dracula and Johnny set off for it. Dracula's traveling companions Frank, Wayne, Griffin and Murray turn human too, after drinking from a fountain the ray contaminated, and Mavis and Ericka go looking for Van Helsing.
