Plot summary
Sherwin Owens is in mourning. His wife, Fiona, died in a car crash that happened during a traffic jam. He travels to Maine to stay in the home of her mother, Lucinda, so that the two of them can grieve together. Lucinda is his estranged mother-in-law, and she is terminally ill. Sherwin comes to her seeking answers, but she is resentful of him and keeps her distance.
