Plot summary
Jess and Bill Walker and their children are at odds, and the parents hope the holidays will bring the family together. To watch a rare planetary alignment, the five of them go to the Griffith Observatory, where an astrologer named Angelica takes their picture. A blinding flash follows, and the family damages the telescope in the confusion. The next morning Jess and CC have swapped bodies, and so have Bill and Wyatt, while toddler Miles and the dog Pickles have switched as well. They leave Miles and Pickles with their neighbor Rolf and return to the observatory to bribe the staff into hurrying the telescope's repairs, hoping the alignment can still put them back.
