Plot summary
Ten years on, Giselle, Robert and Morgan Philip live in Manhattan with baby Sofia, and the city has begun to wear on them, so Giselle moves the family to the suburb of Monroeville. The new house needs renovating, Robert commutes to work, and Morgan feels like an outcast at school. King Edward and Queen Nancy arrive from Andalasia through a well in the backyard and give Sofia, their goddaughter, a wish-granting wand. Malvina Monroe, who heads the town council, is preparing a fairy-tale ball with her son Tyson as its elected prince, and Giselle's attempt to have Morgan chosen as princess only embarrasses her. After talking with the chipmunk Pip, Giselle wishes her family a perfect fairy tale, and by morning Monroeville has become a kingdom.
