Plot summary
Dave and Ronnie, Joey and Lucy, and Shane and Trudy are the friends Jason and Cynthia invite to Eden, a tropical island resort, when their own marriage needs help. Eden's Pelican Package costs half the usual price if they bring three other couples, and the pair promise the therapy is optional. Dave and Ronnie refuse to leave their children until the kids arrange for Dave's father to babysit. At Eden, couples stay in Eden West and singles in Eden East, with no mixing between them. The host, Sctanley, tells the group the morning therapy sessions are not optional, and that skipping them means leaving without a refund on airfare. The four couples debate the offer, then decide to sit through the sessions so they can enjoy the resort, and each couple is assigned a therapist.
