Plot summary
Al Stewart works as a theatrical agent in New York, and among the acts he handles is Dorothy McCoy, billed as the Manhattan Hillbilly. On the same bill he has placed the Great Wilbert, an escape artist who cannot free himself from his shackles and yells for help. Dorothy knows that yell: it is the McCoy clan yell, and a photograph and a concertina found in Wilbert's dressing room show that he is a grandson of Squeeze Box McCoy. Granny McCoy has been searching for the missing heir, since the location of the clan's gold goes only to kin. Al, Dorothy and Wilbert travel to Kentucky to meet the McCoys.
