Plot summary
The Hotel Vista del Rio is a resort on the Mexican border, and Nazi spies have infiltrated it. They intend to smuggle bombs into the United States and to send coded messages to their cohorts through a radio broadcast by the singer Ricardo Montera, a guest at the hotel. Rita Winslow, who owns the resort and was Montera's childhood sweetheart, hires Doc and Wishy as house detectives. The two men had lost their jobs as pet store clerks and climbed into the trunk of Montera's car, believing it was bound for New York. The car brought them to the hotel instead.
