Plot summary
Harry Anders is English and once worked as an agent for MI6. He left the service and now runs a jazz club that has its own band. Stacy Mansdorf, an American and the wife of a diplomat, runs into him by accident, and the two become involved. When she learns that he worked for British intelligence, she brings him a problem of her own and asks him to help her with it. Harry takes it on, and it pulls him back into espionage and counter-intelligence, a world he believed he had finished with. A government cover-up lies behind her trouble.
