Plot summary
Julie, Kayla and Sam met on their first day of kindergarten, and their parents Lisa, Mitchell and Hunter became friends. Twelve years later, on the day of prom, Julie tells her friends she wants her first time to be with Austin, her boyfriend. Kayla decides to do the same with her date Connor, and Sam, who is drawn to a girl named Angelica, joins in. Lisa, a single mother, dreads Julie leaving for college and does not know Julie has been accepted to UCLA. Mitchell snoops in Kayla's room, and Hunter, divorced from Sam's mother Brenda, arrives uninvited at the pre-prom party in a rented limo. Reading the girls' group chat, the three parents learn of the pact and rush to the prom.
