Plot summary
Dr. John Garth is tried for murder after he ends the suffering of an elderly friend. In court he says he was working on a cure for aging and had not finished it when his friend's pain became too great. He is condemned to die within a month. The warden and Dr. Ralph Howard, a fellow scientist, want his research to continue, so he is permitted to go on experimenting in the prison. He and Howard make a serum from the blood of a prisoner who has just been executed and plan to test it on Garth.
