Plot summary
February 1964: the Beatles arrive in New York City for their first visit to the United States, a three-week stay that brings performances on The Ed Sullivan Show and a concert at the Washington Coliseum. The documentary draws on footage shot during the Beatlemania era, including material filmed for a 1964 release about the band's American trip, newly restored in 4K, along with concert and television performances whose audio has been remixed. New interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr appear alongside the archive. The film examines the reception the group met in America and the personal dynamics among its members during the visit.
