Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.

Dan Trachtenberg wrote, directed and made a Predator film in secret, revealed by 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell in October 2024, to be released before Trachtenberg's announced Predator: Badlands (2025).
Predator: Killer of Killers was animated using Unreal Engine, one of the first feature films to do so, and drew stylistic influence from Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira (1988) and Netflix's Arcane (2021-2024).
Dan Trachtenberg wanted each Predator antagonist to look distinct, hoping the species would be "as varied, at least, as we are," and avoiding the Star Wars trope where on Kashyyyk "they're all just a bunch of Chewbaccas."
