Plot summary
Peter Reysner experiments with blood orchids from Borneo, whose regenerative nectar once made an anaconda grow large and live longer, and turns them into a serum for cell regeneration. When he disappears, the grown anaconda escapes from its cage in a mine full of blood orchids. The billionaire Murdoch, suffering from bone cancer, wants the serum for himself and sends his assassin Eugene with a squad of mercenaries to find Reysner's research. Dr. Amanda Hayes, who survived the earlier snake attack, travels with two officers to destroy the orchids and kill the creature. In the Romanian Carpathians they meet Alex, a trekker on a paleopathology project. Jackson and his girlfriend Heather, her friend Wendy, and the brothers Patrick and Scott are drawn into the hunt.
