Plot summary
A hurricane bears down on an offshore oil drilling rig, and the small, experienced crew stays aboard to wait out the storm. The platform sits isolated, with the ocean on every side. Their calm ends when one of the crew disappears and a search of the rig turns up no trace. A deadly creature is on board, its undersea habitat invaded by the rig. With communication severed, there is no way off the platform, and the roughnecks must last out the stormy night.
