Plot summary
Every producer the hard rock trio Chazz, Rex and Pip approach turns down their demo tape, including Jimmie Wing. Chazz's girlfriend Kayla throws him out of her apartment. The three sneak in through the back door of the Los Angeles rock station KPPX to get their tape played on the air. Inside, Ian, the DJ, speaks with them while on the air, until station manager Milo Jackson interrupts and insults the band. Chazz and Rex then pull out water pistols full of hot pepper sauce and insist that the station play the tape. The station's old reel-to-reel player destroys the demo. The band gathers the employees together, and the station's accountant, Doug Beech, contacts the police, who surround the building.
