Dustin Nguyen
Biography
Born in Saigon, South Vietnam, Dustin Nguyen is an actor who practices several martial arts. His first screen part came on Magnum, P.I., as a Cambodian freedom fighter, and he later became a series regular on 21 Jump Street, playing Harry Truman Aioki, and on V.I.P., playing Johnny Loh. He took the role of Zing in the martial arts crime drama Warrior, and his films include Heaven & Earth (1993), The Doom Generation (1995) and Little Fish (2005), in which he played a former heroin addict alongside Cate Blanchett. In 2007 he starred in The Rebel and Saigon Eclipse, and his work in Huyen Thoai Bat Tu earned him a Golden Kite Award and a Golden Lotus Award for best actor. He also directed and starred in Once Upon a Time in Vietnam and appeared in The Accidental Getaway Driver, screened at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
