Plot summary
Dr. Tsu works as a surgeon and keeps an island laboratory off the coast of Manila, staffed by a squad of women trained in martial arts. Her people seize celebrated athletes and bring them in, and her surgical skill lets her move any body part from one person to another. The removed parts go to the highest bidders around the world. Lloyd's of London sends Mike Harber, a wise-cracking investigator who likes women, to Manila to find out what happened to a jai-alai player who vanished. The trail he follows leads him toward the island and the surgeon who runs it.
