Marilyn Joi

Marilyn Joi is an actress who started out as a nightclub dancer and made her film debut playing a dancer in the blaxploitation picture Hammer. She became a regular face in 1970s exploitation movies, appearing in several features for director Al Adamson, among them Mean Mother, The Naughty Stewardesses, Blazing Stewardesses, Black Samurai and Nurse Sherri. She was one of a doctor's victims in the horror film Mansion of the Doomed (1976), played the henchwoman Velvet in Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks, appeared as Cleopatra Schwartz in the sketch comedy The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) and as a bat girl alien in the science fiction spoof Galaxina (1980). She also took guest roles on television series such as Good Times, Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, Hill Street Blues and Hunter, and used pseudonyms including Ineda King and Tracy King. Players magazine named her America's Favorite Black Poster Girl in 1980.
