Deep Freeze (2001) on Netflix

Plot summary

Geotech has built an oil-drilling station in Antarctica. Its crew is six workers along with Dr. Monica Kelsey and Nelson Schneider. A storm forces a research helicopter to land at the base. Geotech has sent the people aboard to learn what killed a worker called Lenny and what became of two men, Carl and Lippski, and to account for the tremors troubling the area before a United Nations investigation team arrives and could close the base down. Professor Ted Jacobson leads them, and he and Dr. Kelsey are romantically involved. Arianna, Tom, Update and Curtis, four post-grad students, travel with him. A giant black trilobite then appears at the base.
