Plot summary
Apanatschi turns twenty-one at her father's farm, where the guests include her boyfriend Jeff Brown and two neighboring prospectors, Pincky and Sloan. Before the party, Mac Haller takes her, her young brother Happy and the family friend Winnetou to a gold mine that only he and Winnetou know, and gives the mine to her. At the celebration Happy mentions the nuggets he has seen, and the two prospectors realize what the family is hiding. When they are sent away, they begin to plan how to make Mac Haller talk or to seize Apanatschi and force the location out of her.
