Plot summary
Léopold, a businessman of fifty in 1970s Germany, comes home with Franz, a student of twenty he has just met. Franz is unsure why he agreed to come, as Anna, his fiancée, is expecting him. He takes a drink and the two men talk. Franz says he may not love Anna and finds little pleasure in sex with her, preferring books, the theater and life. Léopold asks if he has ever slept with a man; Franz says no, but describes a dream about a man in an overcoat.
