Biography

Anna Levine, also known as Anna Thomson, is an American actress born in New York City. She began her acting career in 1975 with the Off-Broadway play Kid Champion, and made her film debut in the 1979 drama Night-Flowers. Early minor roles came in films such as Desperately Seeking Susan (1985) and Fatal Attraction. She also acted on the New York stage in plays such as Uncommon Women and Others and The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs. In the 1990s she took roles in True Romance (1993) and The Crow (1994), and had a major supporting part in Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven (1992) as the prostitute whose disfigurement drives the plot. Her television work includes the role of Anna Rostov on The Colbys. Collaborations with Israeli director Amos Kollek, including Fast Food Fast Women (2000), earned her cult status in France. Her last major film performances were in Water Drops on Burning Rocks (2000) and Bridget (2002).
