Plot summary
Marshall Seymour is a vice president at a Chicago department store, divorced and with little time for his 11-year-old son, Charlie. Marshall and his girlfriend Sam travel to Thailand to buy exotic merchandise, and an art thief named Turk hides an ornate skull among Marshall's purchases to smuggle it out of the country. Back home, Marshall looks after Charlie for a few days while Charlie's mother Robyn and stepfather Cliff are away. With the skull in hand, the two wish to change places, and they find themselves swapped. Marshall goes to school while Charlie takes his father's place at the store. A pair of smugglers pursues the skull.
