Jane Kaczmarek
Biography
Jane Kaczmarek is an American actress who was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin. She finished at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979 and at the Yale School of Drama in 1982. Early television work included St. Elsewhere and the early Showtime episodes of The Paper Chase, where she played Connie Lehman. She had recurring parts on Cybill and Frasier and appeared as Linda Bauer on Equal Justice from 1990 to 1991. She was cast as Lois in Malcolm in the Middle, which premiered in 2000. That part earned her seven Primetime Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. On film she appeared in Falling in Love (1984), The Heavenly Kid (1985), Without Warning (1994) and 6 Balloons (2018). Later television roles included Judge Trudy Kessler on Raising the Bar.
