Fred Savage

Fred Savage is an American actor and director who first appeared on screen in the television show Morningstar/Eveningstar at age nine. Born in Chicago and raised in Glencoe, Illinois, he drew national attention as the grandson in The Princess Bride (1987), then starred as Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years from 1988 to 1993, earning two Golden Globe nominations and two Primetime Emmy nominations and becoming the youngest actor to receive those honors. He appeared in Vice Versa (1988), Little Monsters (1989), The Wizard (1989), and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), and lent his voice to animated projects including Oswald. He also starred in the sitcoms Working and Crumbs and in the series The Grinder and Friends from College. Savage began directing in 1999, helmed episodes of many television series such as Modern Family and 2 Broke Girls, and made his feature directing debut with Daddy Day Camp, which brought a Golden Raspberry nomination for Worst Director.
