Plot summary
Dick Cheney drops out of Yale and works on power lines in Wyoming, where an arrest for driving while intoxicated leads his wife Lynne to threaten to leave unless he stays sober. He goes to Washington in 1969 as a White House intern under Richard Nixon. Donald Rumsfeld, Nixon's economic adviser, turns him into a skilled political operative. He also tries to keep up with Lynne and their daughters, Liz and Mary.
