Plot summary
Sam Larson has finished a novel about a deadly assassin but cannot settle on its final line, so when his friend Amos, who says he once worked as an analyst for Mossad, tells him a story about an assassin called Ghost, Larson works it into the book. The manuscript goes up online and is issued as a factual account, under the title True Memoirs of an International Assassin, which makes Larson a bestselling author. El Toro, a revolutionary, seizes him after a television interview and carries him off to Venezuela. Convinced the book holds secrets about President Miguel Cueto, El Toro tells Larson to kill him. To stay alive, Larson must play the assassin he invented.
