Plot summary
After a promotion at her Adelaide law firm, Lauren accepts when her boyfriend Ned proposes and suggests a quick wedding. Her boss, Ms. Hampton, gives her ten days off for a honeymoon. The pair decides to hold the ceremony in Darwin, where Lauren grew up. There Lauren learns that her mother, Daffy, has walked out on her father, Trevor, and cannot be found. Lauren will not marry without her mother there. Ned drives her through the far north to look for her, and along the way they narrowly miss the traces Daffy has left behind. Ms. Hampton, meanwhile, travels to Darwin to organize the celebrations with Lauren's friends.
