Plot summary
Nome, Alaska, in 1900. Flapjack and Banty arrive to look into the claim on their gold mine, and they are not the only ones with an interest in it. Cherry Malotte, who runs a saloon, sees the corruption around her and knows that Bennett and Clark mean to take the claim for themselves. The new gold commissioner, Alexander McNamara, and Judge Stillman are both in on the scheme. Roy Glennister, Cherry's former sweetheart, comes back from Europe drawn to Helen Chester, the judge's niece, and he sides with McNamara, costing him the goodwill of his longtime partner, Al Dextry.
