Plot summary
Born in Iran, Khosrow Vaziri was an Olympic hopeful and a bodyguard to the Shah before he moved to America. In the 1980s the World Wrestling Federation gave him the persona of the Iron Sheik, a foreign villain who lost his championship belt. Filmed between 2006 and 2014, the documentary follows him at 72, when outlandish outbursts on social media have brought him a new following. It covers his family life with his wife, his children and his grandchildren, and his struggles with addiction and despair. With help from the Magen brothers in Toronto, he begins a road to redemption. The film includes interviews with wrestling and Iranian historians, his family, friends, and more than 25 wrestling figures.
