Plot summary
Friends, peers and admirers sit for interviews, among them Dave Brock and Nik Turner of Lemmy's former band Hawkwind, and the filmmakers also catch candid moments with colleagues in bars and recording studios. Touring with Motörhead fills much of his time, and the rest goes to the Rainbow, a bar and grill in Los Angeles where other musicians joke that they run into him every time they go. He lives alone in a small rent-controlled apartment and will not give it up, since the rent is cheap and the Rainbow is nearby. He has never married, and his son Paul, a guitarist, sometimes joins him on stage. He collects Second World War memorabilia and plays gambling machines.
