Did you know?!Facts and trivia about The Rhythm Section (2020)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- During post-production, EON's Broccoli and Wilson clashed with director Reed Morano and Lively over the kind of film to make: Paramount expected a Bond-style movie with a female lead, while EON wanted a slower, character-focused Euro-noir like La Femme Nikita, and EON won.
- Blake Lively broke her knuckle on the film set, halting production for six months, and insurance covered the extra costs the delay created.
- A late-2018 test screening in Sherman Oaks reportedly returned some of the worst results in the studio's history, so Paramount cut the film's advertising budget and pushed its release to February 22, 2019.
- It debuted to $2.8 million, the worst opening weekend ever for a film playing in over 3,000 theaters, and was estimated to lose the studio $30-40 million.
