Plot summary
Fresh out of prison after a job that went wrong, Miller Graham returns home. He is a thief and a gifted locksmith, and he tries to reintegrate into social life and to rebuild his place in the lives of his daughter Lindsay and of Beth Fisher, the woman he was engaged to, who is now a detective. An unexpected kidnapping complicates matters and draws him into a world of corrupt police officers and criminals.
