Plot summary
Taylor Diehl, a boy who does not speak, is caught up in the upheaval of his family's coming separation. When his grandfather's clock arrives, he reads an inscription on it and learns the heirloom can send time back twelve hours. He uses it to return to the morning when his parents, Jen and Eric, plan to tell the children their news. Rewinding the day proves harder to steer than he expected, so he confides in his older sister Emma, and together they bring in their younger brother Max. The three of them keep inventing bolder ways to use the clock, hoping to keep their mother and father together.
