- Director Enzo G. Castellari said that The New Barbarians, 1990: The Bronx Warriors and Escape from the Bronx were all written, prepared and filmed within six months, meaning three features were made in half a year.
- For the film's stunts, Castellari shot every scene at three different speeds — 24fps, 55 and 96 — so he could cut a sequence for more impact, saying the result looks more impressive and powerful than it actually is.
