Plot summary
New York intends to remake the Bronx, and the General Construction Corporation plans to tear the borough down and put a new city in its place. The people living there are promised homes in New Mexico, and the district is closed off under the name of disinfection. Those who stay are driven out; some are shot, some are burned with flamethrowers. The surviving gangs of the Bronx refuse to go, and under Doblòn they shelter underground. Trash, once the leader of the Riders, keeps to himself in the lawless ruins and trades in stolen ammunition. When Disinfestors burn his parents alive, he turns his aim on General Construction.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Escape from the Bronx (1983)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Enzo G. Castellari was disappointed that Mark Gregory had lost so much muscle mass between 1990: The Bronx Warriors and Escape from the Bronx, so Trash keeps his jacket on for about 90% of the sequel.
- Mystery Science Theater 3000 riffed the film as Escape 2000 in its seventh season, episode #705; the hosts latched onto Doblòn, whose name they misheard as Toblerone.
- Mark Gregory was 19 when he starred as Trash, and Enzo G. Castellari said his youth and inexperience were possibly a factor in why Gregory did not last long in the film business.
- A fan site for both Bronx Warriors films, set up in 2004, interviewed Enzo G. Castellari and spent years trying to find Mark Gregory, who had vanished from public view around 1989; in 2022 it reported he had committed suicide on January 31, 2013.
