Ennio Girolami

Biography

Enio Girolami was an Italian actor who worked in both film and television, and who was sometimes billed as Thomas Moore. He was born in Rome in 1935 into a filmmaking household: his father was the director Marino Girolami and his brother the director Enzo G. Castellari. His screen debut came at eighteen, with a substantial part in Fausto Saraceni's Fratelli d'Italia, and he went on to appear in a great many features, occasionally as the leading man. Along the way he worked with directors such as Alberto Lattuada, Federico Fellini, Mauro Bolognini and Giuseppe De Santis. From 1960 onward, however, he acted almost exclusively in the films of his father and his brother. He died in 2013.
