Plot summary
Joanie Taylor, or Nan as everyone calls her, lives in London, where her grandson Jamie makes short films for a YouTube channel. When a letter arrives from Nell, Nan's younger sister in Ireland, saying she is dying, Jamie wants to visit her, but Nan refuses to go until an invitation to dinner with her neighbors changes her mind. Jamie loads his craft van, which he uses to help people with emotional difficulties, and the two set off for the island off Ireland. Nan would prefer Coventry and her vouchers. On the road Nan tells Jamie about the sister she grew up with, the horse and cart they had to sell goods from after their father died, and Walter, the American soldier they met in a club during the war.

- According to sources cited in a later article, when the original cut was presented to its backers in 2019 they were uncomfortable with the wartime storyline and requested it be heavily cut for much more present-day plot. That material was then cheaply and hastily shot.
- Rourke later said she had a sense as a film-maker of what she wanted the film to be, "but I think in the end that wasn't mainstream enough for what people wanted. So I had to walk away. I think my main feeling about it is sadness."
- The film was scheduled for release on 19 June 2020 but was indefinitely postponed because cinemas were closed by the COVID-19 pandemic. When the trailer and poster finally arrived on 18 February 2022, Josie Rourke received an executive producer credit and no director was credited.
- The film was released on 18 March 2022, and as a result of what was described only as "technical reasons", Pete Bennett's role in it was reduced to a brief appearance.
