The Mauritanian (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Two months after the September 11 attacks, Mohamedou Ould Slahi is in Mauritania, where a policeman says that Americans want to talk with him. He agrees to go with them. His family does not see him again; three years later they read in a newspaper that the United States holds him at Guantanamo Bay and accuses him of helping organize the attacks. In Albuquerque, the French lawyer Emmanuel asks Nancy Hollander to look into the case, because her security clearance lets her ask questions he cannot. She and her associate Teri Duncan visit the camp and become his lawyers.
