Plot summary
Judith and Brice are childhood sweethearts who marry and settle in Washington, D.C. Judith is a therapist at Janice's matchmaking agency, and Brice works in a pharmacy. Judith wants to start her own marriage counseling practice, but Brice urges patience until they are financially secure, and their marriage has gone stale. At the agency Judith meets Harley, an Internet entrepreneur who wants a stake in the business. Working late on matchmaking surveys, Harley asks why her questions avoid sex and tells her that her own sex life with Brice sounds boring. Harley makes no secret of his attraction to Judith, and she resists him while she questions her marriage.
