Plot summary
Sam Cooper is a government bureaucrat on his way to his wedding when a top-secret invisibility potion ends up in his hands. Russian agents and other crooks come after the substance, and his superiors at the State Department and his furious fiancée are after him too. To elude the Russians, Cooper drinks the potion himself and vanishes, which only makes things worse.

- Paramount, inspired by the success of Friday the 13th Part III, hired Friday series producer Frank Mancuso Jr. to make another 3-D film. With no script or team ready, the studio still announced an untitled 3-D film for summer 1983 and threw the production together very quickly.
- The concept was to remake something from Paramount's library or a well-known subject and add 3-D effects. Rejected pitches included a 3-D remake of Rosemary's Baby; Mancuso instead chose a mixture of Foul Play and North by Northwest with invisibility elements.
