Vincent Baggetta

Vincent Baggetta was an American television actor who drove a taxi while he tried to break into the business. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he started with bit parts in The Defenders and Naked City in 1962 and The Twilight Zone in 1963, and he later appeared as himself on The Hollywood Squares. His best known role was the title character of The Eddie Capra Mysteries, which ran for 13 episodes in 1978 and 1979. He worked steadily in series television during the 1970s and 1980s, with credits including Mannix, Cannon, Starsky & Hutch, Kojak, The Rockford Files, Charlie's Angels, Remington Steele, Magnum, P.I. and Lou Grant. He played Father Frank DeMarco in seven episodes of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Assistant District Attorney John Moretti in seven episodes of The Colbys. Later work included One Life to Live as David Renaldi in 1984, NYPD Blue and an uncredited 1995 appearance on Renegade. He died in 2017.
