Plot summary
Vincent Stevens, the architect who designed the building, suggests that he and four married friends take a loft in it together, a private place where each of them can meet a mistress without his wife knowing. Chris Vanowen, a psychiatrist, is the last to accept a key. Luke Seacord, Marty Landry and Philip Trauner complete the group. Then Luke arrives at the loft and finds the body of a woman, Sarah Deakins, and calls the others over. No one outside the five holds a key to the premises, so each man starts to suspect that one of the other four killed her.
