Plot summary
Vic Edwards, once a top movie star, is old, frail and frustrated by everyday tasks, and he is ignored while shopping. His friend Sonny tells him a festival in Tennessee wants to give him a lifetime achievement award and says it has a great reputation, so Vic agrees to go. His seat is in coach. At the airport, Lil McDougal, the assistant assigned to drive him, is unfamiliar with his films, and her car is full of trash. She takes him to a motel, not the hotel he expected, and the festival her brother Doug runs shows movies in the back of a bar.
