Plot summary
Gary Shaller found success years ago playing keyboards in On the One. He lives in New York now, writing and recording commercial jingles for Paul, his best friend and former bandmate, whose career keeps rising. His relationship with Dora has gone flat, and he is dejected. In his sleep he keeps meeting Anna, a woman he is infatuated with, and the dream world suits him better than his waking life. Wanting more of her, he buys books on lucid dreaming and attends classes taught by Mel, who teaches the technique. Gary wants to make the dream last longer so the time with Anna can continue.
