Plot summary
Kapak and his girlfriend, Sunny, have been planning a retirement in Thailand, away from the nightclub he runs. A heart attack pushes the decision forward. Then Jeff, a university professor, robs him at gunpoint of $75,000, and Detective Slosser takes the case. The robbery leaves Kapak squeezed by a cartel with a foothold in Los Angeles, and a cameraman photographs him as he leaves the club. Joe Carver, a friend of Kapak's, wants to buy the nightclub from him. Rodriguez, a crime boss in contact with Kapak, is expecting him, and on the way Kapak is held at gunpoint in a car by a woman who demands money.
