Plot summary
Dahlia Montrose is raising her daughter, Ashley, on her own and working to keep the household going. Parker Jode, a social worker, carries a caseload that includes the girl. Ashley's father, Mike, has been in prison, and when he comes back he wants to bring his family into the life of crime he has always known. Parker, dedicated to the families he serves, steps in between them.
