Plot summary
In 1863, Sheriff Steve Upton keeps the law in Red Valley, a small Utah town. While he is away, the bank is robbed. Cheyenne Rogers rides in afterward. At the livery stable, Allison McLeod, Uncle Willie's daughter, takes his horse for one of Steve's, and she rides off to find the sheriff, whose own mount was taken on the trail. The Countess, who runs the saloon's gambling, loves Cheyenne and holds herself to blame for steering him toward crime. He was hired for the holdup and came too late.
